New Metro Route: Good news for travellers! Soon you will be able to travel from Noida International Airport to Delhi Aerocity in just 66 minutes. The 72 km long Rapid Rail-Metro corridor will connect Ghaziabad RRTS station to NIA in Jewar. The project is expected to be completed in 5 years and then a super-fast Rapid Rail will take you from the upcoming Noida International Airport (NIA) to Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi in less than an hour.
According to media reports, officials associated with the rail corridor said that the rapid rail service will be enabled by a 72 km long rapid rail-metro corridor. Which will connect Ghaziabad RRTS station to NIA in Jewar.
Officials of the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) have submitted the revised detailed project report (DPR) to the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).
Giving information, CEO of Yamuna Authority, Dr. Arun Veer Singh said that the DPR is being reviewed by the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet. According to media reports, approval is expected soon.

The estimated cost of the Rapid Rail-Metro Corridor is Rs 20,637 crore, and the construction time period is five years.
Rapid Rail-Metro Corridor: Details
Once constructed, the Rapid Rail-Metro Corridor will integrate with the Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail at Ghaziabad, Aqua Line Metro at Char Murti Chowk and Noida Airport at the Ground Transport Centre (GTC).
The Rapid Rail-Metro Corridor will have 22 stations, including 11 RRTS-cum-Metro stations and 11 pure Metro stations, with provision for 13 additional stations in future.
Officials said most of the corridor will be elevated, while the last station at NIA will be underground.
Rapid Rail-Metro Corridor will provide two types of services
The Rapid Rail-Metro Corridor will provide two types of services. One is the fast RRTS service with a speed of 114 kmph stopping at limited stations and the other is the metro service with a speed of 46 kmph stopping at all stations.
The faster RRTS service will take 56 minutes to travel to Sarai Kale Khan, 66 minutes to Delhi Aerocity, 37 minutes to Ghaziabad and 72 minutes to Meerut. On the other hand, the normal RRTS service running at a speed of 84 kmph will take an additional 13 minutes on each route.
In addition, the Rapid Rail-Metro corridor will include a 10 km extension of the Aqua Line metro between Char Murti Chowk and Knowledge Park V. And it will also include the proposed Light Rail Transit between NIA and YEIDA Sector 21/Film City.
This new corridor is expected to carry around 3,26,000 passengers per day by 2030-31. In which peak hour peak direction traffic (PHPDT) will be 8,784. Which will increase to 7,57,000 daily passengers and 23,957 PHPDT by 2054-55.
