Trauma center will be built with a new building in the district hospital at a cost of six and a half crores

Dhamtari, 15 March (Hindustan Reporter). After a long time, the new building of Dhamtari District Hospital is going to be renovated. The bhoomi pujan of the new G Plus 2 building, to be built at a cost of Rs 6.5 crore, took place on March 15. This building to be built by CGMSC will include nine important units including the Trauma Unit. After the construction of the new building, the facilities will also increase.

To increase the facilities of the district hospital, a trauma center will also be constructed along with this new building. Tender for construction has been issued. The work will start as soon as the work order is issued. On March 15, the trees falling within this range were cut in the presence of the Forest Department. BJP State General Secretary Ramu Rohra performed the Bhoomi Pujan for the new building. He said that the construction of the new building will provide great convenience to the people. DPM Priya Kanwar said that G Plus 2 building will be built in the district hospital at a cost of Rs 6.51 crore. It will be constructed in 12 thousand 710 square feet. Construction will take place from front to kitchen. In which the length will be 62.50 meters and width will be 18.90 meters. This includes Trauma Unit, Physiotherapy, Hammerlab, Two Not Lab, Isolation Ward, CCCU, Burn Ward, DTC Building. During this, Leader of Opposition Narendra Rohra, Councilor Vijay Motwani, Shyama Sahu, Mithlesh Sinha, District General Secretary Avinash Dubey, Deepak Gajendra, Akhilesh Sonkar, Shrikant Chandrakar from Health Department, District Hospital, Girish Kashyap, Gurucharan Sahu, Shrijichkar, Matron Parvati Netam, Anuradha. Rutbaby Masih, Umakant Vaidya, Basant Verma, Ganesh Gawli, Maneka Sahu, Goswami were present.

The district hospital is 47 years old

The present district hospital building is about 47 years old. It started with 50 beds. Which has now reached 220 beds. Where patients from nearby districts reach. Barring a few posts of doctors, there are enough doctors including contract and NHM. There is also a great need for a private ward here. It is known that patients reach the four decade old district hospital not only from Dhamtari but also from nearby Gariaband, Kanker, Balod, Durg districts. The facilities here are continuously expanding.
