Trains going from Gujarat to Mumbai are stuck, Railways gave this big update after the rail accident in Palghar

Train Updates: Some coaches of a goods train going from Gujarat to Mumbai derailed near Palghar railway station in Mumbai. On Tuesday evening at 5.10 pm, a goods train from Gujarat was passing through the goods track of Palghar station, when some coaches of the engine fell down from the track. The rollers with iron plates tied to the open coaches were also exposed. At present, the work of re-tracking the coaches is going on, due to which the operation of trains has been greatly affected. Some trains were canceled, some ran late. At present, rail traffic has started at a slow pace. However, the biggest impact of this incident has been on the trains running between Mumbai and Gujarat.

Trains were stopped in Vapi
Ahmedabad-Mumbai rail service has been disrupted due to the fall of a goods train coach in Pal Ahar, Maharashtra. Passengers are facing problems as Mumbai-Ahmedabad rail traffic has not been restored even after hours. Passengers had to spend the whole night waiting for the train at Vapi and Valsad railway stations in Valsad district. No train started operating even till 10 am. Most of the trains were stopped at Vapi. Due to which passengers got stuck at Vapi railway station. However, now railway operations have been slowly resumed. However, all trains are running late by hours and it will take a few more hours for railway services to become normal.

Due to this accident many trains between Ahmedabad and Mumbai were delayed
Rail traffic between Ahmedabad and Mumbai has been disrupted. Rail traffic between Ahmedabad-Mumbai was stopped for hours. Passengers waited for trains all night in Vapi and Valsad. Most trains were stopped in Vapi. Now rail transactions are slowly being restored. But many trains between Ahmedabad and Mumbai are running late by hours.

These trains are affected
According to Western Railways, train number 12936 Surat-Mumbai Intercity has been short terminated at Vapi. 16505 Gandhidham-SBC Express, 12432 Nizamuddin-Trivendra Rajdhani Express and 19260 Bhavnagar-Kochuveli Express have been diverted via Surat-Udhna-Jalgaon-Kalyan. This has also affected Mumbai local trains. After the accident, 6 up and 5 down Dahanu locals have been cancelled. (One down direction Dahanu local has been stopped at Virar.)

Partial cancellation
09159 Bandra Terminus-Vapi Passenger 29/05 will be partially cancelled between Bandra Terminus-Umbergaon Road stations and will run between Umbergaon Road and Vapi stations.
09055 Bandra Terminus-Udhna Special 29/05 will be partially cancelled between Bandra Terminus and Bhilad and will run between Bhilad and Udhna stations.
12935 Bandra Terminus-Surat Intercity Express dated 29/05 will be partially cancelled between Bandra Terminus-Vapi stations and will run between Vapi and Surat stations.
19417 Borivali-Ahmedabad Express will be partially cancelled between Borivali and Valsad on 29/05. Will run between Valsad-Ahmedabad station.
19101 Virar – Bharuch Express 29/05 will be partially cancelled between Virar and Udhna stations and will run between Udhna and Bharuch stations.

Passengers stranded at Surat station
The impact of the Palghar incident was also seen at Surat railway station. All trains coming from Mumbai are running late. Some trains have also been cancelled. Trains are running late by three to four hours. Many passengers are waiting for the train at the railway station for hours amid the scorching heat. Passengers of trains coming from Mumbai and Surat to Mumbai are stranded for hours.
