Training given on voting process through postal ballot


East Champaran, 11 May (H.I.S.). Under the chairmanship of District Election Officer-cum-District Magistrate Saurav Jorwal, the sector officer was given training on the voting process through postal ballot by Additional Collector Mukesh Kumar Sinha at Mahatma Gandhi Auditorium at District Headquarters Motihari.

During this, the Additional Collector informed that the second training of polling personnel will be given from May 14 to May 18. During this period, voting training of polling personnel will be done at the special facilitation center at the center itself. For this, assembly wise facilitation center will be made and separately attestation officer along with polling officer first, second and third will be deputed.

He was told that the polling officer will identify the first voter, the polling officer second will apply indelible ink and the polling officer will provide wallet paper to the third voter. Every polling worker through whom voting will be done will be required to have a photo identity card. During the training, information was given about filling all types of forms and it was made mandatory to write the serial number of the ballot paper at the appropriate place.

On this occasion, the District Magistrate said that on the basis of applications received from voters above 85 years of age and disabled voters in Form-12, voting will be done through ballot paper by visiting their homes on May 17. All such voters have been identified and the list will be made available to all sector officers. For this, a separate team will be formed which will go to the house of the concerned voter along with the polling party and police force under the leadership of the concerned sector officer and will videograph the entire process and collect the vote from the concerned voter in the ballot paper. It has also been made mandatory for such voters to show their photo identity card at the time of voting.
