Under the unique initiative of the Forest Department, training on Para Taxonomy and Biodiversity Conservation for skill upgradation of the youth of Bastar was done under the Forest and Climate Change Department. The inspiration behind this training was Kedar Kashyap, Minister, Government of Chhattisgarh. In the training, local 10th and 12th pass youth will be trained in modern techniques like identifying and conserving the biodiversity found in the state, herbarium construction, GIS mapping, photography etc. With this, local youth will get employment opportunities in fields like field guide, tourist guide, wildlife care taker, wildlife photographer etc.
