Training completed in West Champaran for two Lok Sabha elections, 119958 personnel, 336 micro observers will be deployed, voting will take place at 2906 centers on 25th

Bettiah:- The district administration has completed all preparations for the polling to be held on 25th in the 18th Lok Sabha elections at Valmiki Nagar and West Champaran Lok Sabha seats in West Champaran district. The administrative and police administration are on alert mode to ensure that there is no lapse or deficiency in conducting clean, fair, fear-free and peaceful polling.

On Thursday, all the presiding officers, sector magistrates and police officers contributed at the MJK College Dispatch Center in the city and the third phase training was given to all the polling personnel.

On this occasion, District Election Officer Dinesh Kumar Rai asked the polling personnel to perform their responsibilities with full devotion and peaceful voting. During this, election materials were distributed to the polling personnel. They will sign the register after meeting. The unique ID of all the polling party appointments is marked on them. After obtaining the pass for leaving for voting, they will reach the polling station directly by vehicle. They will not stop at any hotel, house or other place on the way.

Polling workers will not fall into any kind of temptation

The District Election Officer said that the sixth phase of voting in the district is to be held on 25th. During this time, following the instructions given by the Election Commission in letter and spirit, this work should be done by any particular person or party at two polling booths. Food has been arranged by the cook on payment basis for all the voters who did not fall prey to any kind of inducement.

Superintendent of Police Amarkesh D directed all the police officers to take action as per rules to conduct peaceful, fear-free and fair elections. If anyone commits irregularities in the voting process, instructions were issued to take strict action against him. Deputy Development Commissioner on the spot Pratibha Rani SDM Dr. Vinod Kumar, District Panchayati Rajapara Officer Baby Kumari etc. were present.

Magistrate will contact through video regarding EVM related problem

The District Election Officer said that if there is any problem related to EVM during the mock or actual voting, then immediately contact the Sector Magistrate through QRT or related video and get the problem resolved immediately. He said that during the mock poll, if CU, BU and BHPAT malfunction, then only that machine will be replaced however during actual polling, if CU and BU malfunction, the entire set will be changed; if BHPAT malfunctions, then only BHPAT will be replaced. The DM said that all projecting officers will press the full total button every 2 hours and send the actual polling and percentage through the sector to the control room. Till the closing time of polling at 6:00 PM, all the people who are in the line will be given slips and will be allowed to vote and after the end of polling, the close button will be pressed.

Voting will take place at two of the 2906 polling stations established in 1591 places in the district. There are 762 such buildings where only one polling station is established. There are 625 such buildings, two polling stations each. Whereas there are 135 such buildings, where three polling stations each have been made in the same building. There are 59 such buildings where four polling stations each are established. There are eight buildings where five polling stations have been built in the same building complex.
