Trained youth will be able to increase their income by setting up their own food processing unit and will get the benefit of grants and other government facilities, Keshav Prasad Maurya.

Keshav Prasad Maurya has instructed the senior officials of the Food Processing Department to work with an effective action plan to provide maximum training to the youth and farmers of the state in the field of food processing and connect them with self-employment and entrepreneurship. He said that the food processing sector is an important medium for employment generation, increasing the income of farmers and strengthening the economy of the state. Therefore, conduct of training programs should be ensured with complete quality, transparency and timeliness.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Maurya directed that the Food Processing Department is providing training in modern techniques of food processing to youth and farmers through the Government Food Science Training Centers and Community Fruit Preservation and Training Centers established in various districts of the state. He directed that all the training programs should be completed on time as per the set targets and information about these training programs should be disseminated on a wide scale to interested young men, women and farmers, so that more and more people can take advantage of it.

Shri Maurya ji told the officials that training programs should not be limited to mere formalities, but practical and modern technical knowledge should be made available to the trainees. Arrangements for regular inspection and continuous monitoring should be ensured during the training period, so that the quality of training is maintained. Besides, an effective action plan should be prepared to connect the youth who complete the training with self-employment, enterprise establishment and various government schemes.
