Trained to deal with emergencies

Jammu, 7 May (HIST). Indian Army demonstrated its commitment towards community safety and disaster preparedness by conducting fire fighting exercise in Chas village of Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. The event aims to empower residents with essential fire fighting skills and knowledge to enable them to respond effectively to fire emergencies.

The participants were trained in fire prevention strategies, fire fighting techniques and proper use of fire fighting equipment under the guidance of experienced Army personnel. 62 participants from Chas village and surrounding areas participated in this program. Such initiatives not only enhance public safety but also promote a sense of empowerment and self-reliance among communities.
