festive season in the country It has already begun. In such a situation, everyone is struggling to get confirmed train tickets to go home on Dussehra, Diwali-Chhath festival. Apart from regular trains, the special trains that have been started also have a long waiting list. In such a situation, the passengers of the country are facing problems. Despite the huge waiting list in trains, agents spread across the country are booking railway tickets for common passengers with the help of software and then selling them at high prices.
While it takes four to five minutes for common people to book train tickets, these booking agents book train tickets in just 30 to 40 seconds with the help of software. Agents neither spend time in filling passenger details, nor in searching for trains, nor in filling captcha. With the help of special software, agents book many tickets in minutes. Recently, RPF has caught many such gangs who book such tickets.
RPF says that during festivals and holidays, the number of gangs involved in railway ticket fraud increases. From time to time, RPF conducts campaigns against such people who book tickets through wrong means and catches them. So far this year, RPF has caught 147 agents from the capital. During this, it was found that these agents are using special software like Red Mirchi and Tatkal Adda etc. to book confirmed tickets. These agents buy such software for Rs 20,000 through Telegram app. It works only for 15 to 20 days. After this, these people have to buy new software.
This is how railway tickets are being made
Through the railway IRCTC website or app, a common man can book a maximum of 12 tickets in a month with his personal ID. But many times, to book more tickets, these agents create 50 to 60 IDs with fake names. IRCTC gives only one ID to an agent to book a ticket. But these agents book tickets by creating fake IDs. Because by doing this they avoid paying fees to IRCTC. These agents already fill the passenger's information in the software purchased from the Telegram app. As soon as the booking opens, these people easily book tickets in a few seconds. Whereas common people get troubled in filling the information, writing captcha and making payment. Meanwhile, these agents book tickets directly by making payment.
They charge from 500 to 2000 rupees
RPF says that these agents charge passengers an additional fee of Rs 500 to Rs 2000 for each ticket. These agents use such software to book Tatkal tickets. However, the railways use powerful software to catch these agents. In this, the booking data of any train is taken and checked. RPF caught 14 such agents in January, 11 in February, 19 in March, 14 in April, 41 in May, 15 in June and 21 in July.
