One of the most ambitious and most awaited mythological films in the history of Indian cinema – being directed by Nitesh Tiwari ‘Ramayana’ has made its first big splash on the global stage. World’s largest pop-culture convention held in America San Diego Comic-Con (San Diego Comic-Con – SDCC 2026) The grand official trailer and exclusive footage of ‘Ramayan’ was launched in the presence of the film’s lead stars Ranbir Kapoor (Lord Ram), Yash (Raavan), director Nitish Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra (Prime Focus Studios) at the prestigious Ballroom 20 of Mumbai. 1. The first Indian mythological epic on the international stage

For the first time, an Indian film was presented on such a large scale in the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) hall with a capacity of about 4,800 spectators.

Producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitish Tiwari, while addressing the global audience, said that India’s most sacred and ancient epic is being presented to the world with state-of-the-art technology, global VFX and international standards. 2. Powerful style of Ranbir Kapoor and KGF star Yash

The calm, gentle and divine appearance of Ranbir Kapoor (in the role of Lord Ram) in the trailer is giving goosebumps to the audience. 3. Big improvement in VFX and AI technology

4. The film will be released in two parts: First part in Diwali 2026.

The makers have officially confirmed from the Comic-Con stage that ‘Ramayana’ will be released in two parts (Two-Part Epic):

  • Ramayana Part-1: Will be released in theaters worldwide on the occasion of Diwali 2026 (November 2026).

  • Ramayana Part-2: Diwali will hit the big screens in 2027.

5. ‘Hamara Satya’ campaign in more than 400 schools of the country

The film will not be limited to the big screen only. The makers have launched the program in over 400 schools across 18 cities in India to connect children and youth with the values, religion and history of Ramayana. ‘Our truth, our history’ A nationwide school campaign has also been launched, under which more than 5 lakh students are being connected to the saga through quizzes and competitions.
