The news of a very painful and shocking road accident has come to light from Hatgamharia police station area of West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand. An uncontrolled car coming at a high speed from Chhattisgarh crashed heavily into a huge tree on the roadside. The collision was so terrible that the car was blown to pieces and the people sitting inside the vehicle did not even get a chance to recover. In this horrific accident, three people died tragically on the spot, while other people in the vehicle were badly injured. As soon as information about the incident was received, the local police immediately came into action and started relief work and took the injured to the nearest hospital. After this accident, there is chaos in the area and the relatives of the deceased are in bad condition, crying.
According to information received from eyewitnesses, the speed of the car was very fast and as soon as the vehicle reached near Hatgamharia main road, suddenly the driver completely lost control of the vehicle. Seeing this sudden collision with loud noise amidst silence on the road, the nearby villagers immediately ran to the spot. The car was badly damaged and flattened, due to which the local people had to make great efforts to rescue the people trapped inside. After the accident, a huge crowd gathered on the road and there was shouting all around. On receiving the information, the police team of Hatgamharia police station immediately reached the spot and with the help of a crane, removed the accident vehicle from the middle of the road and smoothened the traffic.
Where were the people who lost their lives and those injured in the accident hail from and in what connection were they coming from Chhattisgarh to Tatanagar (Jamshedpur), the police is investigating all these aspects in depth. After giving first aid to the seriously injured people, they have been referred to Sadar Hospital Chaibasa or other higher medical center for better treatment. The police have taken the bodies in their custody and sent them for post-mortem and efforts are being made to contact their families. In the preliminary investigation, it is suspected that the driver may have dozed off or the vehicle suddenly lost control due to a burst tyre, due to which this horrific accident occurred.
Such tragic incidents once again remind us of the serious consequences of uncontrolled speed and carelessness while driving on the roads. The local administration and traffic department have repeatedly appealed to the drivers to take special care of the speed limit while traveling long distances, stop the vehicle to rest when tired and use seat belts compulsorily so that such premature deaths can be prevented. The police is taking further legal action in this matter and a technical investigation is being conducted into the actual cause of the accident.
