
Mumbai: A traffic warden died of falling into the sea while trying to chase the tempo in a bizarre accident on the coastal road in South Mumbai. Despite the ban on the entry of heavy vehicles on the coastal road, the tempo came on the coastal road and the traffic warden on duty there chased it in a two -wheeler, but at an intense turn, his two -wheeler got out of control and got down from the divider. Sheikh jumped into the sea and died. The police have registered a case of accidental death and are further investigating the case.

According to the information received in this regard, on Saturday, a 38 -year -old traffic warden named Rafiq Sheikh was doing traffic duty on the Coastal Road. Meanwhile, he saw a tempo coming from Tata Garden towards Worli. Despite the ban on the entry of heavy vehicles on the Coastal Road, the driver of this tempo violated the rules and entered the coastal road. Sheikh gestured him to stop the tempo, but he ran at full speed. Seeing this, Sheikh followed him with his scooter. Meanwhile, Sheikh lost control of his scooter at an intense turn and the scooter collided with the cement divider, after which Sheikh jumped from the coastal road and fell into the sea. The incident occurred near the Amarnson Garden within the border of Gamdevi police station.
As soon as the incident was reported, firefighters immediately reached the spot and took Sheikh out of the water. He was immediately rushed to Nair Hospital where doctors declared him dead. After this, the police sent his body for postmortem and is taking further action. After this incident, the police violated the rules and started searching for the tempo driver coming on the coastal road.
