Faridabad, July 10 (HS). In view of the safety of the city's school students, the traffic police on Wednesday checked the vans, cabs etc. that carry and bring the students. During this, 66 van drivers who violated traffic rules were challaned. The amount of each challan is more than ten thousand.
The police spokesperson said that under the guidance of DCP Traffic Usha, in order to ensure the safety of students, the traffic police is now checking eco vans and cabs along with school buses and challans are being issued if any violation is found. The police also runs awareness campaigns from time to time so that citizens can be made aware of following traffic rules.
Along with this, by talking to DCP Traffic DEO, records are being obtained from all the schools about how many cabs are deployed in their schools and the record of these school vans is being obtained from the RTA. In the coming time, it will be mandatory to get a unique ID number on these school vans and police verification of the van driver so that it becomes easy to track the vehicle.
