Traffic closed on Saraighat bridge due to repair

Guwahati, July 13 (HS). Due to repair work, vehicular traffic has been closed on the old Saraighat bridge. Due to continuous rains, large number of potholes and cracks have appeared in the old Saraighat bridge built on the Brahmaputra river.

The railway administration has temporarily closed the traffic on the old bridge over the Brahmaputra river for a few days from Saturday to repair potholes and cracks. The administration said that till next Monday all vehicles will travel through the new bridge over the Brahmaputra river.
