Nowadays, due to the high-tech cameras installed on traffic signals, more challans are issued. Many times it happens that we give the car to our friend or relative. They violate the traffic rules and return the car. The vehicle owner is not aware of this. After this, when the challan message comes on the mobile, only then the vehicle owner comes to know. Therefore, from time to time the vehicle owner should keep giving information about the challan of his vehicle. At the same time, you can also get this information sitting at home. For this, you have to visit the official website of the Transport Department.
To know whether any challan of the vehicle is pending or not, you will first have to log in to parivahan.gov.in. From here you will get complete information about the challan. All the information like vehicle registration number, chassis number and engine number will have to be entered.
Select the option to check the challan
After visiting the official website, you will get the option of “Check Challan Status” or “E-Challan Status”. Here you have to enter your vehicle's registration number, challan number (if you have it) or driving license number. Then fill the captcha code and submit it. After this, the status of your challan will be visible. If a challan has been issued, then you will get all the information about the challan, such as the date of challan, the reason for which it was issued and how much is the fine. In such a situation, you can check the status of your vehicle's challan sitting at home. The challan can also be paid on time.
Pay Challan Online
If the challan has been issued, you can also make online payment from there. You will get the option of debit card, credit card, UPI or net banking for payment.
Keep your documents complete while driving on the road
If the documents are not complete, then the car or bike can be fined. Therefore, always keep the documents of your vehicle with you. Along with this, also keep in mind that all the documents should be complete, that is, it is very important to have all the documents like driving license, RC of the vehicle, insurance and PUC. If the insurance of the vehicle has expired, then do not delay in getting it renewed.
