Traditional musical instruments and dishes became the center of attraction in Jharkhand Tribal Festival

Ranchi, August 9 (HS). Jharkhand Tribal Festival 2024 started with great pomp on Friday at Birsa Munda Smriti Udyan in the city. Thousands of people from every corner of the state enjoyed the first day of the festival. People dressed in traditional attire added to the charm of Tribal Day. Everyone danced to the beats of the Mandar.

Various types of tribal stalls from different states have been set up in the exhibition hall of Jharkhand Adivasi Mahotsav. Many stalls have been set up to make people aware along with traditional costumes and handmade products. Among these stalls, a stall called Chala Akhra is attracting a lot of people. The musical instrument of Santhal tribe, Banam, is the main attraction in this stall. Apart from this, Mandar and Nagada are also available in this stall.

People from many districts of the state have set up stalls of traditional dishes in the tribal festival. Apart from vegetarian food like Paajpoda roti, Madua roti, Malpua, Pitha, Ghuskha, Chilka roti, Rice Laddu, Gundli ka Halwa, Dumbu, people also ate non-veg chicken cooked in leaves and biryani with great gusto. The price of food items here starts from Rs. 20.
