Dear Railways: Vande Bharat flagged off but Tejas train shortened, tourists put on other trains: Some trains reached Kutch in 36 hours

Mumbai: Due to heavy rains in Gujarat, trains between Mumbai and Kutch Gujarat have been cancelled on Wednesday. Passengers faced a lot of trouble due to cancellation or short termination of trains on Monday and Tuesday as well.

According to information received from Western Railways, train number 20907 Dadar-Bhuj Sayaji Express, train number 22955 Bandra Terminus-Bhuj Kutch Express and train number 09456 Bhuj-Gandhinagar and train number 22953 Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Gujarat Express have been cancelled.

Train number 19417 Borivali-Ahmedabad Express will remain cancelled on 29th August.

On Tuesday, Mumbai and Ahmedabad's Kutch Express and Sayaji Express train number 12965 departing from Bandra were cancelled. The train left Ahmedabad at around 8.15 pm and left for Bhuj.

On Monday, the train from Ramayan to Kutch reached its final destination after 15 hours and 36 hours. Sayaji Nagari Express, which left Borivali at 3.45 pm on Monday, reached Surat at 8 pm and left Surat at 6.15 pm the next year. The train reached Dhangdhara at 3.15 pm. Due to the release of water from Machu Dam in Ba, the train was diverted from Dhangdhara station to Bhuj via a different route at 6.30 pm. Which increased the travel time.

Dinesh Visaria of Kutch Tourist Association said that tourists faced a lot of problems due to the sudden cancellation of trains on Tuesday. The water supply in the toilets of the trains which were stopped on the way was turned off, the trains were stopped at places where there were deserted areas or stations where there was no arrangement for food and water. The railways also tried to help the passengers in every possible way.

Stations at or near which trains halt. When local NGOs found out, they came to the aid of the tourists and provided food packets. On Tuesday, when the Kutch-bound Sayaji Express halted at Viramgam station, an NGO handed out packets of Kutch food to the passengers.

Yesterday, Vande Bharat was pushed forward but Tejas Express passengers were disembarked at Vadodara. However, the passengers protested and were sent by another train. Tourists had to sit for hours in Vadodara. Some tourists reached Ahmedabad today instead of last night. They created a lot of uproar on social media.
