Thousands of tourists were evacuated safely

The situation in Himachal Pradesh has become very bad due to snowfall in the last 24 hours.

• Rescue work:
  • About 10 thousand tourists were safely transported to Manali from Solanganala on Friday night.
  • 433 roads including three national highways have been closed.
• Condition of other affected areas:
  • Heavy snowfall and rain continues in Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Shimla, Chamba and Kangra.
  • Two people were rescued from Tindi area of ​​Lahaul.
  • About 50 tourists are stranded in Sissu and surrounding areas, but they are safe in hotels and homestays.
