Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of the people of the state for declaring Ratapani Tiger Sanctuary as the eighth “Tiger Reserve” of the state. He said that with the creation of Tiger Reserve, employment opportunities will also increase along with tourism in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the notification of Ratapani Tiger Sanctuary as the eighth tiger reserve of the state has been issued on December 2.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said in a statement issued to the media on Wednesday that this is the first tiger reserve adjacent to the capital of any state. Being located near the capital, it will not only ensure employment opportunities through tourism, but will also ensure effective conservation of forests, tigers and other wild animals. He said that so that the people of the village do not face any problem, the villages under Ratapani Sanctuary have been kept in the buffer area instead of the core area. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that by becoming a Tiger Reserve, Ratapani will get international recognition and Bhopal will be recognized as the Tiger Capital. He said that the area of ​​the core area of ​​Ratapani Tiger Reserve is 763.812 square kilometers and the area of ​​the buffer area is 507.653 square kilometers. Thus, the total area of ​​the Tiger Reserve will be 1271.465 square kilometers.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that permission has been received from NTCA for Madhav National Park, the 9th Tiger Reserve of the state. The process of issuing its notification has been started, which will be completed in about a month. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has also become a “cheetah state”. He has greeted the people of the state on International Cheetah Day.
