Mumbai: The country's exports have increased to the highest level in a decade in the financial year 2023-24. Solvent Extractors Association of India (SC) sources said the country exported 4,885,437 tonnes of khol worth Rs 15,370 crore in the ended financial year, the highest since fiscal 2013-14.
Compared to the financial year 2022-23, the export of shells in 2023-24 has been 13 percent more in terms of quantity and 35 percent more in terms of value. This shows that the demand for India's lap is increasing in the global market.
Soybean has the largest share in the export of pulses. Sources said total exports of soybean meal witnessed an increase while exports of soybean meal remained high.
Soybean from India is available at competitive prices in the international market. In terms of quantity, the export figure of soybean was 21.33 lakh tonnes which was 10.22 lakh tonnes in the financial year 2022-23.
