Total 157 cases of Chandipura virus in the state; Number of admitted patients remained 20 and 69 patients were discharged

Chandipura virus: In Gujarat state 20 patients affected with Chandipura virus are admitted and 69 patients have been discharged. There are total 157 cases in Gujarat, including 16 in Sabarkantha, 7 in Aravalli, 4 in Mahisagar, 10 in Mehsana, 7 in Rajkot, 5 in Surendranagar, 12 in Ahmedabad Corporation, 8 in Gandhinagar, 16 in Panchmahal, 7 in Jamnagar, 6 in Morbi.

A total of 52,125 houses including the houses and surrounding houses of the positive and suspected patients have been monitored by the health team in all the kutcha houses of all the villages of the taluka where positive cases of viral encephalitis have been found and the work of dusting-spanning with Malathion powder has been asked to be done meticulously and promptly.

Malathion powder has been sprayed on a total of 7,38,865 kutcha houses. Spraying has been done in a total of 1,49,416 kutcha houses. Along with this, Malathion powder has been sprayed in a total of 30,153 schools and spraying has been done in a total of 6,988 schools.

Malathion powder has been applied in a total of 34,979 Anganwadis and spraying has been done in a total of 7,026 Anganwadis. Currently, a total of 20 patients are admitted in the state of Gujarat and 69 patients have been discharged. With this, a total of 59 cases of Chandipura are positive in the state.
