Total 153 cases of Chandipura virus in the state; Number of admitted patients remained 19 and 68 patients were discharged

Chandipura virus: There are a total of 153 cases of viral encephalitis i.e. Chandipura virus in the state of Gujarat, including 16 in Sabarkanth, 07 in Aravalli, 3 cases in Mahisagar, 7 cases in Kheda, 9 cases in Mehsana, 7 cases in Rajkot, 5 cases in Surendranagar. 19 cases of viral encephalitis have been reported in the state and 68 patients have been discharged.

Dusting-spreading with Malathion powder has been carried out by the health team in a total of 47,728 houses, including the houses of positive and suspected patients and the houses in the surrounding area. In all the kutcha houses of all the villages of the taluka where positive cases of viral encephalitis have been found, immediate dusting-spreading operations with Malathion powder have been asked to be carried out intensively and quickly.

A total of 6,802 schools were sprayed and
Malathion powder was sprayed in a total of 7,34,186 kutcha houses. Spraying was done in a total of 1,49,203 kutcha houses. Along with this, Malathion powder was sprayed in a total of 29,890 schools and spraying was done in a total of 6,802 schools.

A total of 57 cases have been tested positive,
A total of 34,733 Anganwadis have been sprayed with Malathion powder and a total of 6,975 Anganwadis have been sprayed. Currently, 19 patients are admitted in the state of Gujarat and 68 patients have been discharged. With this, a total of 57 cases of Chandipura are positive in the state.

Out of 153 cases in the state, a total of 66 patients died.
5 in Sabarkantha, 3 in Aravalli, 2 in Mahisagar, 2 in Kheda, 4 in Mehsana, 4 in Rajkot, 2 in Surendranagar, 6 in Ahmedabad Corporation, 3 in Gandhinagar, 7 in Panchmahal, 3 in Jamnagar, 4 in Morbi, 2 in Gandhinagar Corporation, 3 in Dahod, 2 in Vadodara, 1 in Narmada, 3 in Banaskantha, 1 in Vadodara Corporation, 1 in Devbhoomi Dwarka, 3 in Kutch. 1 in Surat Corporation, 1 in Bharuch, 1 in Jamnagar Corporation, 1 in Gir Somnath, 1 in Patan, a total of 66 patients have died.
