Last year, on June 28, a Tibetan girl reached Dharamshala in India via Nepal. Study at an educational institution run by the Tibetan government in Dharamshala. Namaki, a 15-year-old girl from Tibet's Ngaba County and her sister Tenzin Dolma were captured by Chinese authorities on October 21, 2015. Both sisters were protesting against the demand of Dalai Lama and independent Tibet. Three-four policemen stopped him and snatched the pictures of Dalai Lama from his hands and arrested him. After this, both of them were taken to the jail of Barkam city from Ngaba County. Both the sisters were tortured a lot during their arrest. Namaki says that he was rigorously interrogated, questions were asked about the Dalai Lama. Questions like why the protest was taking place and where did you get the posters of Dalai Lama were often asked.
15 year old Namaki is now 24 years old
Namaki says she was jailed at the age of 15 and is now 24. He says that what the Chinese government is telling the world about Tibet is completely opposite to the reality. Tibetan people are living under the shadow of fear. China is weakening Tibet. He alleged that the Chinese government was destroying religious freedom and Tibetan culture and heritage.
Namki's family is in danger
Namaki says his family is in danger. His family may be targeted. She says that she wants the whole world to know what is the situation in Tibet? What a miserable condition people are living in Tibet. He now wants to become the voice of Tibet before the world. He wants to tell the world what is happening in Tibet. This is the voice of Tibet. China's atrocities will continue to make the whole world aware of the suffering of the Tibetan people. He says that China claims that it has promoted prosperity and modernization in Tibet but this is a completely false claim.
Case registered after one year of arrest
Namaki says that the case against the two sisters was initiated about a year after their arrest. They were made to work like laborers in jail. When he was released after completing his sentence, he learned that his family had sent him clothes and food but it never reached them. Chinese authorities also harassed his family. After being released from the custody of Chinese police on 13 May 2023, Namaki escaped from there without informing anyone and reached Dharamshala in India via Nepal.
