Torrent Power’s second quarter financial year 2024-25 results were announced on Wednesday. On annual basis, the company’s net profit in the second quarter stood at Rs 496 crore.
In the second quarter from July to September, the income of the power company has increased by 3.08 percent. In the second quarter, the company’s revenue increased to the level of Rs 7,175.81 crore. Which was Rs 6,960.92 crore in the same quarter last year. In the first half of the current financial year, the company’s revenue increased by 13 percent to Rs 16,210 crore. In the same period last year, this figure was Rs 14,289 crore. EBITDA increased by 26 percent in the first half. EBITDA increased to Rs 1,332 crore in the second quarter. The company’s expenses also increased by 4.47 percent to Rs 6,611.83 crore in the second quarter. Which was Rs 6,328.44 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year. There has been an increase in the purchase of electrical energy as part of the company’s expenditure. Due to which the expenditure has increased in the quarter from July to September. The core segment of Transmission and Distribution performed well.
