Top officials visited flood affected areas, gave instructions | News India

Bijapur, September 11 (HS). DIG Dantewada Kamlochan Kashyap, Collector Sambit Mishra and SP Dr. Jitendra Yadav visited the flood affected areas on Wednesday to take stock of the flood situation caused by continuous rain in the district. DFO Ramakrishna Y, Additional SP Vaibhav Banker and other senior officers were also present with them. In this tour, the Indravati river area of ​​Rampuram and Timed of Bhopalpatnam block was inspected, due to continuous heavy rainfall, the flood in the district's main river Indravati in Bhopalpatnam area had become severe and the villages settled around this river have been affected. Due to the increase in water level in the drains joining the Indravati river, about two dozen villages in Bhopalpatnam area alone came under the grip of flood.

During this time, Bijpur Collector Sambit Mishra took information about the flood from the Sarpanch and local public representatives. He also instructed the field staff to keep a constant watch on the flood affected areas and inform them about the actual situation. The control room and SDM established for flood and disaster have been asked to be contacted for any assistance. Along with this, instructions have been given to the concerned department for all kinds of facilities, so that in this situation, people can be helped as per the need.

It is known that according to the information received about the condition of a village named Mattimarka, this village has completely become an island, although the news of relief is also received that no situation of drowning has been created here at the moment, whereas, life has been significantly affected in more than 20 villages including Chandur, Lingapur, Gangaram, Rampuram, Bamanpur, Arjunalli, Kondamosam, Tarlaguda and Timed. “Due to waterlogging on the roads and obstruction of major routes, traffic has been completely disrupted, life has been so disrupted that senior officials of the administrative staff have had to come on the field and take charge.
