Top meeting of Narco Coordination Center in New Delhi today, Home Minister Shah will preside over

New Delhi, July 18 (HS). Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will chair the seventh apex meeting of the Narco Coordination Center in New Delhi today. The Home Minister will launch the National Narcotics Helpline 'MANAS' and also inaugurate the zonal office of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Srinagar. Apart from this, Shah will release the summary of NCB's Annual Report-2023 and Drug Free India. The objective of this meeting is to coordinate and synergize the efforts of various central and state government agencies involved in dealing with drug trafficking and abuse in the country.

On this program of Union Home Minister Shah today, the Central Government's Press Information Bureau (PIB) released on July 15 said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government has adopted a zero tolerance policy against drug trafficking. Its aim is to reduce the threat of drugs. The Home Ministry is determined to achieve the Prime Minister's goal of a drug-free India by 2047 by following a three-point strategy of strengthening the institutional structure, coordination between all narco agencies and a comprehensive public awareness campaign.
