Moradabad, 23 March (HS). Food Safety Department teams in Moradabad district conducted a raid on Saturday on suspicion of adulteration and took 17 samples including Mawa, Gujiyan, Namkeen and sweets. The samples have been sent to the lab in Varanasi for testing.
To prevent adulteration on Holi, on the instructions of Assistant Commissioner (Food) Rajvansh Prakash Srivastava, investigation teams were formed under the leadership of Food Safety Officer Bagish Mani Tripathi. The food safety officers included in the team took samples of Mawa, Gujian, Namkeen and sweets etc. at various shops in Thana Thakurdwara area, Thana Bhojpur area, Mainather police station, Kanth police station area.
