On the day of Pradosh Vrat, after taking bath in the morning, wear clean white or light pink clothes and take a pledge to fast on fruits by chanting “Om Namah Shivay” in your mind throughout the day. Before the beginning of Pradosh Kaal, wash your hands and face again and sit at the place of worship:

Panchamrit Abhishek: Bathe Shivling with Ganga water. After this, do ritual anointment with raw cow’s milk, curd, pure ghee, honey and sugar (Panchamrit). Finally, take bath again with pure water or Gandhodak.

Make-up and material offerings: Apply Tripund of white sandalwood to Mahadev, offer Akshat (unbroken rice), white fig flowers, Dhatura, Bhang and Shami Patra. Keep in mind that never offer broken Belpatra to Shivalinga; Offer at least 11 or 21 smooth Bel leaves while saying “Om Namah Shivay”.
