Offline Aadhar Card Correction Process

First of all you have to go to the nearest Aadhaar enrollment center to get the correction form. Here you have to fill your 12 digit Aadhaar number, name and other important details in the correction form and also tell which of your information you want to change. A photocopy of any one of the documents like birth certificate or PAN card has to be attached with the form.

The filled form needs to be submitted along with the documents

The filled form along with the documents must be submitted to the officials at the Aadhaar enrolment centre. The official will verify your biometrics and check the form and documents for accuracy. A fee of Rs 50 is charged for updating the date of birth on your Aadhaar card. Once submitted, your correct date of birth will be updated in the Aadhaar system within a few days. You will get a URN slip at the centre, which allows you to track the status of your update request online.

Photo on Aadhar card can also be changed

Along with this, any person can also change the photo on the Aadhaar card. Anyone who wants to change the photo will have to go to the Aadhaar Seva Kendra. In which download and print the Aadhaar enrollment form from the official website of UIDAI. Fill this form and take it to your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra. There, submit the form to the officer at the center and provide your biometric details. Then the officer will take a new photo of you. After completing these processes you will receive a URN number along with the approval form to track the status of your request.

Online Aadhar Card Correction Process

To change the date of birth online, you have to visit the Self Service Update Portal. Now you have to select the 'Proceed to update Aadhaar' option. After this, enter the 12-digit Aadhaar card number and verify the captcha code. Then click on the send OTP option and enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number and click on login. After this, select the date of birth field and fill in the correct information. After which you have to provide a scanned copy of the PAN card and birth certificate, then after submitting it you will receive the Aadhaar update request number to check the status.
