To ensure that mutual harmony does not deteriorate, the message of unity was given by taking out a rally

Barmer, 4 May (Hindustan Reporter). During the Lok Sabha elections, there was a round of allegations and counter-allegations between the candidates and death threats were also made on social media. But to ensure that mutual harmony does not deteriorate in Barmer, the district and police administration, along with the elite members of the society, took a unique initiative to give the message of unity by taking out a rally.

Administrative officials called a meeting of the entire society and made everyone pledge to maintain mutual harmony and the feeling of belonging. In the meeting, the Collector and SP assured on the suggestions received in the meeting that an appeal will be made soon on behalf of the candidates. After this, the people of the society took out a rally from the Collectorate to the railway station and gave the message of unity.

In fact, in the Lok Sabha elections, former MLA Amin Khan, independent candidate and Shiv MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati and then Baytu MLA Harish Chaudhary were threatened on social media. After this, the feeling of animosity increased among people of different societies. After this the police detained those who issued threats on social media. However, to ensure that the brotherhood does not get spoiled in the area through social media, it was decided to call a meeting of all the society.

District administration and police called a meeting of all the society in Barmer Police Control Room auditorium. Leaders of political parties and senior intellectuals from different societies attended the meeting. During this time, District Collector Nishant Jain, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Siddharth Palanichami, Additional District Collector Rajendra Singh Chandawat, SDM Samudrar Singh Bhati were present on behalf of the district administration. On behalf of the police administration, SP Narendra Singh Meena, ASP Jassaram Bose, ASP Nazim Ali, DSP Ramesh Kumar Sharma and CI were present. In the meeting, people unanimously agreed to maintain brotherhood and belongingness of Thar.

In the meeting, people from all sections of society talked about taking strict and non-discriminatory action against those spreading enmity. The people attending the meeting suggested that a meeting of all the Lok Sabha candidates should be held and an appeal should be made to them to maintain a cordial atmosphere. People said that a group should be formed of all the people sitting here, so that information can be exchanged easily. After this everyone unanimously resolved to create peace and brotherhood.

People from all sections of society, administration and police took out a rally from the Collectorate. Due to which we are all trying to give this message. Today the uniqueness of Thar continues. The rally reached the railway station via Vivekananda Circle, Kisan Boarding.

District Collector Nishant Jain said that leaders of all major parties and people from all sections of the society were present in today's meeting. People openly expressed their views and gave suggestions in the meeting. Everyone agreed to the suggestion. Later a public appeal was issued on behalf of all. If someone does any wrong thing or makes any wrong comment on social media, action should be taken against him. Most importantly, do not make any caste based comment. People of the society understood their own responsibilities. Everyone resolved to maintain the tradition of Thar.

According to SP Narendra Singh Meena, everyone in the meeting unanimously talked about creating brotherhood. We asked the people of the society not to make any inappropriate comments on social media. If someone comments then action is being taken against him by the police administration. Independent candidate, former MLA Amin Khan has been arrested while taking action against those who threatened him. These are all 18-19 year old youth who have no idea. Appeal to the youth: Do not spoil your future by making unrestrained comments on social media. A close watch is being kept by the police. Action has been taken against more than 30 people on social media. A case is being prepared against them under 108 CrPC. Do not create fake accounts on social media. It is not that you will escape from the police by creating a fake account, otherwise the police is catching them too.
