First of all you have to go to the official website of Ration Card. Each state has its own website. Here you have to log in or register by entering your details. After this you will see several options, one of which is to add the name of a new member. After this, a form will open in front of you in which you will have to give all types of information. You will also have to provide some documents of that member here, you can upload birth certificate or marriage card. After this finally submit the form, after submitting the form a message will come on your mobile number. It will contain information about your application. After a few days, a new ration card will arrive at your home. This ration card will also have the name of the member for whom you have applied.

This information will have to be given to the food department

To add the name of a new member in the ration card, you will have to change the Aadhar card. For example, if a girl changes her surname after marriage, she will have to enter her husband's name in place of her father's name in the Aadhaar card and update the new address. After this, the details of the new Aadhar card will have to be given to the food department officer of the husband's area. If you wish, you can add the name of a new member even after online verification. Delete the name of the old ration card and apply for a new ration card. If the mobile number is not linked to your ration card, then to register it you will have to go to https://nfs.delhi.gov.in/Citizen/UpdateMobileNumber.aspx. Here you go to the Update Your Registered Mobile Number option. As soon as you do this, you will be asked for your Aadhaar number. You enter the Aadhaar number of the head of the household or the person whose name is in the ration card. After this you write the ration card number in the second column. In the third column, write the name of the head of the household and his mobile number and save it.
