Jaipur, 15 October (HS). Preparations are on to sign MoUs for investment proposals worth more than Rs 50 thousand crore in the pre-summit of the Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit of Mines and Petroleum Sector held in Jaipur on November 8. Principal Secretary of Mines Department, T. Ravikant has said that Rs 44 thousand 721 crore has been collected from the mining sector in the road shows organized so far in the Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit. Investment proposals worth more than Rs. 500 crore have been signed.
T. Ravikant was taking a review meeting of the preparations for the pre-summit of mines and petroleum sector to be held on November 8 under Rising Rajasthan at Khanij Bhawan on Tuesday. He said that the mining sector of the state is growing rapidly in terms of investment, employment and revenue. He instructed the officials that efforts should be made to bring more investment in the mining sector at the local level so that MOUs for more investment proposals from the mining and petroleum sector can be signed in the pre-summit held on November 8. He said that through the Rising Rajasthan Pre-Summit, the participants of the Pre-Summit as well as the people associated with the mining sector of the country and the world will be introduced to the possibilities of Rajasthan's mineral wealth and mining sector.
He said that the pre-summit organized by the department has been kept theme based. Participation of associations related to mining sector will also be ensured in the pre-summit. Along with this, public sector institutions of Central and State Government, private sector investors and academicians of the state and country will also be involved so that the Pre Summit can be multidimensional and more fruitful. Joint Secretary Mines Ashu Chaudhary informed about the preparations for the Rising Rajasthan Pre Summit. He told that a team of officers has been formed and they have been given responsibility. In the meeting, coordinating officer BS Sodha told that contact and coordination has been made with the concerned investors for MOU proposals for Rising Rajasthan Pre Summit. Among the officers in charge, Additional Director Petroleum Ajay Sharma informed about preparation of publicity material, ADG Alok Jain about coordination with experts, SME Pratap Meena informed about coordination with the invitees.
MD RSGL Ranveer Singh said that along with others, CNG PNG activities will also be showcased by RSGL. SG Sunil Verma, Sanjay Saxena, RSMM's Asim Agarwal, FICCI's Girish Gupta and senior officials participated in the meeting.
