East Champaran, 23 April (H.I.S.). Near the Main Road Bank of Baroda in the district headquarters Motihari city, the swindlers tricked gold businessman Paras Prasad and pretended to be a fake crime branch officer and made jewelery worth lakhs disappear.
Citing security reasons, criminals posing as fake crime branch officers told Paras Prasad not to wear his chain and ring but to keep them in the bag. Due to fear, the jeweler immediately took out his chain and ring and kept them in his bag, when the criminals snatched his bag and fled.
The jeweler has given a written complaint in the matter to the police station. In this regard, ASP Shikhar Chaudhary has said that this is an incident of fraud. the police has started to investigate. CCTV footage of the road and near the incident site is being scrutinized. The culprits will be caught soon.
