Sukesh Chandrashekhar wants to pay tax: Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who has been in jail for the last 9 years in a scam worth crores of rupees, has written a letter to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. In this letter, Sukesh disclosed his income and asked me to deposit thousands of crores of rupees as tax for the development of the country. Sukesh said in the letter, ‘In 2024-25, his companies earned Rs 22,410 crore globally and personal income was Rs 7,640 crore. So now he wants to collect taxes.

Sukesh wrote in his letter, ‘My business is LS Holdings International and Speed Gaming Corporation. These companies are registered in Nevada, USA and Virgin Islands, UK. Including online/offline gaming, betting business, registered since 2016 and making profit’
Sukesh’s personal income is Rs 7,640 crore
Sukesh Chandrashekhar said in his letter, ‘Companies will spend 2.70 billion dollars i.e. Indian Rupees in the year 2024. Business worth Rs 22,410 crore was done. The business is active in the US, Spain, UK, Hong Kong and Dubai. My personal income after depositing taxes and other compliances as per US law and British law is Rs 7,640 crore.

In a letter to Finance Minister Sitharaman, Sukesh said, ‘Tax recovery proceedings are going on against me for the year 2012-19 and some appeals are pending which are being considered in the court. If any settlement is reached then I am ready to pay all the dues. As a proud Indian, I want to contribute to the world-class development of this great nation under the great leadership of our Prime Minister Modi.
‘It’s not my fault’
Sukesh also told Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the letter that he is facing financial problems and is in judicial custody. I am an undertrial prisoner and have not been convicted in any case. Therefore, it would be wrong to say that my income is illegal. Your department has initiated tax recovery proceedings against my Indian income, which proves that my income is legitimate.
Sukesh Chandrashekhar also said, ‘He has an excellent legal and financial team, but still he wanted to expose himself. If the appeal is approved by the Finance Minister’s office, its CA team will submit detailed documents.’
