Ranchi, September 17 (HS). The three-week training session for the second batch of 46 Nirbhaya Shakti women constables organized by the CID at ITS Hotwar in Ranchi was inaugurated on Tuesday by Jhalasa Member Secretary Ranjana Asthana and Inspector General of Police CID Aseem Vikrant Minj. These trained women personnel will be deputed in all the women police stations of Jharkhand, who will assist in police investigation in cases of crimes against women and children. They will be given training in subjects like scientific research, law, nursing, psychology, cyber so that when the victim party comes to the police station, they can accompany them from giving initial first aid to giving psychological advice till the trial in the court. They will be specially informed about gender violence against women and children, especially about laws like POCSO and JJ Act.
It is notable that on the advice of the present Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court Sujit Narayan Prasad, the then DG CID and present DGP Anurag Gupta, it was decided to depute Nirbhaya Shakti women constables in women police stations. 45 Nirbhaya Shakti women constables of the first batch have been deputed in 38 women police stations of the state. DIG Sandhya Rani Mehta from CID, Superintendent of Police Nidhi Dwivedi, Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar Sinha, Additional Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar, Deputy Secretary of Jhalasa Abhishek Kumar and other police officials were present in the ceremony.
