Three vehicles collided due to sudden braking, female doctor died

Varanasi, 04 August (HS). On Sunday afternoon, three vehicles collided on the highway near Sai Baba temple in Veerbhanpur of Rajatalab police station area as soon as one vehicle applied brakes. A female doctor travelling in an auto died in the accident. Three others were injured. After sending the injured to the hospital, the police took the body of the female doctor into custody.

Dr. Ashish Gautam, wife of Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Bijli Kheda in Banda district, was working as a doctor at the Primary Health Center in Mirzamurad area of ​​Arazi Line development block. She boarded an auto to go home from duty in the afternoon. The driver of a truck going from Rajatalab to Mohansarai applied brakes to the vehicle. At the same time, an auto and a Swift car coming from behind collided with the truck. Auto driver Suresh Kumar Gaur (45), resident of Rohania Khanav, and woman doctor Ashish Gautam (35) were seriously injured in the accident. Dilip Singh and Shatrughan Singh, residents of Bihar, who were riding in the Swift car, survived because of the car's air bags. Both suffered minor injuries.

On receiving the information, the police reached there and with the help of villagers, sent the injured to BHU Trauma Center in an ambulance. Where female doctor Ashish Gautam died. During the accident, there was a long queue of vehicles on both sides of the highway for about an hour. The police reached the spot and removed the damaged vehicles, only then the traffic resumed.
