A group of 12 students reached here, who were going to take bath on the occasion of Holi. Five students were supposed to take bath in Gomti Lake, but three students slipped and drowned. After the drowning incident, Nadiad Fire Brigade teams reached the spot with 2 ambulances and 108 ambulances. The rescue team started the effort to take out the dead bodies.

At this time, lady constables Kalpanabenan Lakhabhai and Soniaben Pradeepbhai and PSI Chavda also helped in taking the woman out.

Head constable Rajesh Bhai, on duty, saved the woman who had jumped into the well. ACP RD Kava encouraged the constables. ACP R.D. Kava said that a proposal will be given to higher officials to give award to Constable Rajeshbhai.
