Three smack smugglers arrested in Katihar, Rs 7.37 lakh and 28.86 grams of smack recovered

Katihar, 14 November (HS). District Rautara police station has arrested three smack smugglers while conducting a campaign against drugs. 28.86 grams of smack, Rs 7,37,720 in cash and two electronic measuring instruments were recovered from the arrested accused.

The arrested accused include Dheeraj Kumar father Dilip Paswan, Chhotu Paswan father Rajendra Paswan and Shyam Kishore Paswan father Dashrath Paswan. All the arrested accused are residents of Khudna village of Rautara police station area. A case has been registered against these three under Rautara Police Station Case Number 101/24, Section 8(C)/21(B) NDPS Act.

In this context, Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer Abhijeet Kumar said that on the basis of secret information, a raid was conducted at the house of Dheeraj Kumar, from where the accused were caught. Chhotu Paswan was also involved in smack smuggling case in the past and a case was already registered against him.

Rautara police station chief said that the police is taking strict action against drugs and this campaign will be continued in future also. He appealed to the general public to cooperate in this campaign and support the police in the fight against drugs.

This action will have a big impact on the drug trade in the district and will also create fear among criminals. The police have sent the accused to jail after presenting them in the court.
