Three new criminal laws will be implemented in Haryana in February

Chandigarh, 15 December (HS). Three new criminal laws will be implemented in Haryana in the month of February next year. For this, the target has been set till 28th February. The state police is trying to start work under the new laws in all the police stations of the state from March 1. After one month trial, it will be implemented 100% from April 1st.

Haryana Police Director General Shatrujit Kapoor on Sunday brainstormed with top officials regarding the implementation of new criminal laws. All the Superintendents of Police and other senior officers of the state joined this meeting through video conferencing.

Kapoor said that the Home Ministry has aimed to develop Haryana as a model for effectively implementing the new laws. He explained in detail to the officials about the e-Saakshya app used for its implementation and its uses. He said that e-Evidence is a very good app, through which the provisions contained in the new law can be effectively implemented. He was also informed in the meeting about case diary module and videography of chance recovery and planned recovery etc. Along with this he stressed the importance of training. The new law will strengthen the justice system and people will get quick justice. He said that in future, more resources will be provided to the police as per requirement to implement the three new laws.

Regarding de-addiction campaign, he said that there is a need to run the campaign in a planned manner. The DGP instructed all the Superintendents of Police to themselves ensure action against drug smugglers. Take strict action against pharmacists selling banned medicines in their respective areas. Police station in-charge and DSP level officers should go to villages and hold meetings with people. Haryana Police Housing Corporation Managing Director OP Singh, Panchkula Police Commissioner Rakesh Arya, SP Nikita Gehlot, AIG Admin Himanshu Garg, AIG Provisioning Kamaldeep Goyal and many other officers were present in this meeting held at the Police Headquarters.
