Three JCBs seized in illegal mining, major action taken against thirteen vehicles too

Hamirpur, 09 December (HS). On Monday, a joint team of Mineral, Revenue and Police raided illegal mining in the district and seized half a dozen tractor trolleys and three JCB machines and parked them in the police station. This action will bring revenue of fourteen lakh rupees to the treasury.

Mineral Officer said on Monday evening that on the instructions of District Magistrate Ghanshyam Meena, a raid was conducted in Kheda of Rath Kotwali area with a joint team of Police and Revenue Department. In which six tractor trolleys and three JCB machines were seized after they were found doing illegal mining of soil. This action will bring revenue of Rs 10.5 lakh to the treasury. Told that action has also been taken against seven vehicles carrying sand, mortar and ballast boulders for illegal mining and transportation. In which revenue of three and a half lakh rupees will be generated. Here, the District Magistrate has also formed teams to tighten the noose on illegal mining and transportation of Maurang, Gitti and soil. Teams are continuously carrying out raids and actions.
