Three-day indigenous craft demonstration cum awareness workshop concludes

Jammu, 28 October (Hindustan Reporter). A three-day “Crafts Demonstration cum Awareness Programme” organized in collaboration with Handicrafts Service Center Jammu was concluded at Government Degree College, Ramgarh. The objective of the workshop was to empower the participants through practical training in indigenous crafts including decoupage, pottery, Basholi painting and bamboo crafts thereby enhancing their creativity and entrepreneurial skills.

During three days the participants participated in practical sessions led by skilled resource persons. At the end of the workshop, students made various types of handicraft items and demonstrated their newly acquired skills. On the concluding day, exhibition and sale of these handicraft items was organized in which the participants were given an opportunity to showcase their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Many faculty members and students enthusiastically purchased various types of handicraft items in the exhibition. Pro. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra concluded the workshop by thanking all the participants, resource persons and support staff for their contribution.
