Saharsa, 03 August (HS). Based on a secret information, Saur Bazar police station arrested three criminals with illegal weapons on Friday.
Addressing a press conference organized at Sadar police station on Saturday regarding the matter, Sadar SDPO Alok Kumar informed that on Friday, the evening patrol officer of Saurbazar police station received a secret information that Santosh Kumar, a resident of Saurbazar Pulghat, is celebrating a birthday party with his friends in the garden near the chimney in Bhawanipur Ward No. 4. Where a youth participating in the birthday party also has a country-made pistol.
On the received information, when the patrol team reached the said place for raid, on seeing the police, three youths Nandan Kumar s/o Virendra Shah, Santosh Kumar s/o Sanjay Gupta, both of Saur Bazaar and Nitish Kumar s/o Suresh Yadav of Chandaur Ward No. 1, Saur Bazaar tried to escape on a bike. They were caught with the help of police force. When they were searched, a country made pistol and a live cartridge were recovered from them. All the three were arrested along with the recovered weapons and legal action was taken. The patrol team included women armed force including ASI Firoz Alam of Saur Bazaar police station.
