Three arrested including father and son in cow slaughter, one absconding | News India

Haridwar, 30 September (HIST). Police have arrested three accused including father and son involved in cow slaughter. Police have recovered two quintals of beef, cow slaughter equipment and a cow progeny from the possession of the accused. While one accused absconded.

Actually, Bahadrabad Police, through an informer, got information about cow slaughter in a house situated in the fields near Degree College in village Margubpur. When police raided the house, some people were found slaughtering beef. The police team caught a total of three people including father and son. Whereas another accused ran away as soon as the police got wind of it.

Police recovered about two quintals of chopped meat, head of cattle, equipment used in cow slaughter, two bikes and a live calf on the spot.

During interrogation, the accused told that they all have been doing cow slaughter for a long time. Here, after harvesting, they used to sell the goods in the village on motorbike. Police called additional police force and veterinary officer Belda Roorkee to the spot. The doctor identified it as beef.

The arrested accused are Sanaullah (52), Abdul Salam (18) and Abdul Rahim (19), residents of village Margubpur police station Bahadarabad. The police have registered a case against the accused and issued a challan.
