ACP Syed Arib Ahmed, who is in charge of Taj security, told PTI, “The tourism department has received the email. Based on that, a case has been registered at Tajganj police station. Further investigation is underway. Immediately after receiving the threat mail, bomb disposal squad, dog squad and other teams reached the spot. All the teams investigated the Taj Mahal and its surroundings, but nothing suspicious was found.
Inspection mission in Taj Mahal area
ACP Syed Arib Ahmed said that after receiving the bomb threat, an intensive search operation was conducted in the Taj Mahal. After the threat, CISF and ASI completely surrounded the area. At present, tight security has been maintained in the Taj Mahal area. Meanwhile, panic has spread among the people after the news came out that a threat has been given to blow up the Taj Mahal with a bomb.

An email was received on the email ID of Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department on Tuesday morning. The mail has threatened to blow up the Taj Mahal with a bomb. The email reads, “A bomb has been planted in the Taj Mahal, which will explode at 9 am.” After the office opened, the department received information about the threatening email. After this the Taj Mahal area was immediately inspected. At present, tight security has been maintained in the Taj Mahal area.
Increase in cases of fake calls
The incidents of fake calls have increased in the last few months. Airlines, schools and colleges are receiving threats through emails or phone calls. According to the government, till November 13 this year, domestic airlines have faced nearly 1,000 fake bomb threats. According to information given by Minister of State for Civil Aviation Muralidhar Mohol in the Rajya Sabha on November 25, a total of 1,143 fake bomb threats were received between August 2022 and November 13, 2024. This year alone, 994 threats were received between January and November 13.
