Israel-Palestine War: More than a year has passed since the Israel-Palestine war. The war has killed thousands of civilians and continues to wreak havoc on those who remain. Most of those killed in Israeli attacks are women and children. According to a report, 400,000 Palestinian civilians are stranded near Northern Gaza. The Israeli army threatened to attack and asked to evacuate the area, but the trapped civilians were not allowed to leave the area. Sabreen is one woman among the 4 lakh people whose survival is not guaranteed, whose plight is heart-wrenching.
Moved 14 times in one year
Sabreen is from Palestine and is stranded on the northern Gaza border with her family. His family has been displaced 14 times in the last one year. Sabreen's family is constantly wandering from here to there to escape the impending death.
war destroyed the family
Victim Sabreen says, 'We were living well before the war. Our life was respectable. We were happy with the mercy of Allah. My husband was a fisherman. We had a lot. My granddaughter used to go to school happily. But one day the war started and then everything changed.
wandering to survive
Sabreen and her family lived in Gaza City. He was forced to leave his home in the very first Israeli attack. At first they took refuge in northern Gaza, but then had to move south. After this he went to central Gaza. Due to repeated attacks, he has to constantly move from one direction to another to save his life.
Spending money doesn't bring peace
“Displacement is very expensive,” says Sabreen. Money has to be paid for small tasks. Under compulsion we have to do as we are told. Whatever savings we had are gone. We also had to sell the gold jewelery of our daughter and granddaughter. Now we are wandering from here to there taking loans from people. We don't have capital. Despite paying money, we are subjected to various kinds of torture during displacement.
Girls are especially concerned
Sabreen has young girls in her family, whom she worries about. Sabreen says, 'We are not only afraid of terrorists but also of army soldiers. While going from one place to another, we are stopped and asked various kinds of questions, our inertia is known. Firing starts at any time, from any direction. They have weapons and bombs which are scary to look at.
many relatives were killed
Sabreen, like many others, has lost many of her relatives in Israel's massacre in Gaza. Due to frequent displacement, they do not even get time to properly mourn their dead relatives, what a pitiful situation…!
Even places of migration are not spared
Sabreen says, 'We have gone to so many places that there is no place left to go. We don't know where we will go next if there is an attack where we are now?
According to an estimate, 23 million civilians have so far been displaced in Palestine due to Israeli aggression. Whenever there is war on earth, the biggest victims are women and children. Let us hope that the fire of war raging in the Middle East will soon be extinguished and peace will be restored in the lives of millions of people like Sabreen.
