Thousands of candidates are stuck waiting for the results since 4 months: Know why the teacher recruitment results of Kendriya Vidyalayas are stuck and what is the demand of the students

The patience of thousands of youth dreaming of becoming teachers in Kendriya Vidyalayas and residential schools across the country is now running out. There is a lot of anger among the candidates due to the non-declaration of the results of Tier-II recruitment examinations of KVS, NVS and EMRS held this year. Despite the passage of almost four months i.e. more than 125 days, no official deadline has been issued by the examination conducting agency Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) regarding the result. Due to this uncertainty, the candidates who appeared in the examination are now directly questioning the working style of the administrative system.

Exams were completed in March, future is stuck for 125 days

It is noteworthy that this year the Tier-2 examinations for Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) were held on 20 March 2026. Soon after this, CBSE had successfully conducted the second level examinations of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) between March 27 and March 31, 2026. As per the rules, the results are declared after releasing the answer keys within a few weeks of the examinations, but even after four months have passed, the situation remains the same. Neither has any notification been issued by the board nor has any clear reason been given for the delay.

Appeal from Ministry of Education to CPGRAMS, digital movement started on social media

Candidates have now opened a front on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) against the excessive delay in results. Candidates are trying to attract the attention of the government and the board by running hashtags like #KVSResult, #NVSResult and #EMRSResult. Expressing his pain, a disappointed candidate wrote that he has not only sent an email to the Education Minister’s office but has also lodged a complaint on the Public Grievance Portal (CPGRAMS). On July 14, 2026, the complaint was transferred to the concerned officer, but neither any response nor any explanation was received at the ground level. Candidates say that even after posting more than 1500 times, it is absolutely unacceptable for the responsible institutions to remain completely silent.

Youth trapped in the whirlpool of dilemma: Should they prepare for the future or take another path?

The most negative impact of this long delay in results is on the career and mental health of the youth. Students are deeply confused about whether to prepare for the next stage of the recruitment process (interview or document verification) or accept another job opportunity. The candidates clearly say that they are not just a part of some statistics, but their career, family and next step in life depends on these results. If the result is delayed due to any technical or administrative reason, then CBSE should make the reason public in a transparent manner, so that the precious time of the youth is not wasted in uncertainty.
