Those who harass bullion traders will not be spared: Nandi

Industrial Development Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi attended the Maha Sammelan organized by Uttar Pradesh Goldsmith Society Association and Jewelers Association in Kauwa Bazaar of Karchana on Friday. In which Nandi appealed to the bullion traders to unite. At the same time, he assured strict action against those who harass the bullion traders.

Bullion traders and jewelers handed over a memorandum to Nandi regarding the protection of their business. On which Nandi assured the traders that their demands would be made known to the Chief Minister and efforts would be made to get them fulfilled. In the grand conference organized by the Goldsmith Society and Jewelers Association, Nandi said that Sanghe Shakti Kaliyug, that is, in Kaliyug, organization power is the most important. If we raise our voice by strengthening the organization, then the government and its representatives listen to your voice seriously. They resolve the problems. Therefore, an appeal is made to all bullion traders and people of the Goldsmith society to stay united and face every problem with strength.

Minister Nandi said that before 2017, goons and mafias were dominant in Uttar Pradesh, criminals and miscreants used to harass bullion traders as well as other traders and extort money. Today, such criminals are either behind bars or somewhere else. There is rule of law in the Yogi government. Strictest action is being taken against anyone who harasses a businessman. Nandi said that if any officer, employee, goon or miscreant harasses any bullion trader, then strict action will be taken against him on receiving a complaint.

The bullion traders and the people of the goldsmith community handed over a memorandum to Nandi and demanded that as many bullion traders as possible should get arms licenses for security reasons. They said that just as the Gold Art Board has been established in Madhya Pradesh, similarly a Goldsmith Commission should be constituted in Uttar Pradesh. Action should be taken against the bullion trader only after a thorough investigation by the police in relation to Section 411, 412. The bullion traders demanded to simplify GST and provide the benefits of Mudra Yojana to the people of the goldsmith community. On this occasion, State President Mukul Verma, District Patron Dinesh Kumar Goldsmith, District President Sumit Soni, Kripa Shankar Soni, Jitendra Kumar Soni, Kuldeep Goldsmith etc. officials and bullion traders were present.
