This year Yampanchak will be completed in six days, know Diwali date and auspicious time

Diwali 2024 , Diwali has special significance in Hindu religion. Although Diwali is celebrated for one day but this festival of lights lasts for five days. These five days have been called Yama Panchak in the scriptures. This year, due to the date of Amavasya being one day longer, the festival of Diwali will be celebrated for six days instead of five. According to belief, Yamraj, Vaidyaraj Dhanvantari, Lakshmi-Ganesh, Hanuman, Maa Kali and Chitragupta are worshiped in Yampanchak. Govardhan Puja is celebrated on the second day of Diwali. But this year, due to Amavasya on the second day of Diwali, Govardhan Puja has been postponed by one day.

First festival: Dhantrayodashi

Dhantrayodashi has special significance. This day is mainly associated with the worship of Yamraj. Dhanvantari Devi puja is also performed on this day. On Dhanvantari for health and on the other hand people of the house light Yamdeep and pray to Yamraj to prevent untimely death. Lighting the Yamdeep is the most important ritual of this day. According to folk belief, it is auspicious to buy gold-silver coins or copper utensils on this day. On this day, idols of Lakshmi-Ganesh are also bought for Diwali twilight worship.

Auspicious time of Dhantrayodashi

Trayodashi Tithi will start on 29 October 2024 at 10:59 am. Hence it will end on 30th October 2024 at 01:04 PM. Shopping time on 29th is from 10:59 am to 04:55 pm. Dhanteras puja muhurat is from 06:19 pm to 08:15 pm.

Second festival: Narak Chaturdashi

Narak Chaturdashi is also known as Narak Chaudas and Hanuman Jayanti. On this day, lamps are also lit as per the agreement. In the evening, a four-sided lamp should be kept on the garbage heap outside the house. Especially the lamp should be old. On this date, the darshan of Hanuman ji between sunset and next sunrise has special significance.

Narak Chaturdashi Muhurat

According to the Panchang, Narak Chaturdashi date will start on October 30 at 01:04 pm. So it will end on 31st October at 03:11 PM. Auspicious time of puja is from 04:36 pm to 06:15 pm on 30th October.

Third festival: Diwali

Diwali is one of the biggest festivals of Hindu religion. Like Moharratri, Mahashivratri, Holika Dahan, Sharad Purnima, there is a tradition of staying awake all night in Diwali too. During Kalaratri, devotees of the Aughad sect perform rituals in the crematorium to attain special siddhis for public welfare. Also, Lord Ganapati and Goddess Lakshmi are worshiped in every house.

According to the Panchang, Amavasya Tithi will start on 31 October 2024 at 03:11 am. So it will end on 1st November 2024 at 05:12 PM. The auspicious time of day puja is from 01:33 PM to 03:04 PM. So the time of evening puja is from 06.11 pm to 08.08 pm. Tantric puja from 12:39 pm to 02:53 pm.

Fourth festival: Annakoot and Govardhan Puja

Annakoot festival is celebrated on Kartik Shukla Pratipada. On this day, fifty-six offerings are made to the Lord in all small and big temples. This year, due to Amavasya being on the second day of Diwali, Annakoot will be celebrated a day later on 2nd November.

According to the Panchang, Kartik Shukla Pratipada will start on 01 November at 05:12 pm. So 02nd November will end at 06:59 PM. Govardhan Puja Muhurat is from 06:43 AM to 08:52 AM.

Fifth season: Bhaubiz

Bhaubij is a festival which symbolizes brother-sister love. The importance of Bhobeej has been described in Skanda Purana and Brahmavaivarta Purana. On this day, Chitragupta Puja, the main ritual of Kayastha community, is also performed.
