Announcing his retirement on social media, Barinder Sran wrote, 'I have decided to retire from cricket. Thanks to the people I met in this journey. I have had countless and incredible experiences since switching from boxing to cricket in 2009. Fast bowling has been very lucky for me. I got a chance to play in the IPL. After this, in 2016, he got a chance to debut for Team India.
Although my international career was short, the memories associated with it will always remain in my heart. I thank God for this. In the end, I will just say that dreams have no limits like the sky, so keep dreaming.

Barinder Sran made his debut against Australia in Perth in 2015-16. After this, he got to play two T20 matches on the Zimbabwe tour. He took 7 wickets in 6 ODIs in his career. Apart from this, he took 6 wickets in two T20 matches. He has played for Mumbai Indians, Kings XI Punjab, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. He took 18 wickets in 24 matches in the IPL between 2015 and 2019. He has taken 47 wickets in 18 first-class matches. He has taken 45 wickets in 31 List A matches.
