With increasing age people become more attracted towards religious places. It is also said that in the last stage of age one should undertake pilgrimage to attain salvation and freedom from sins. So today we are telling you about some special pilgrimage places, which the elderly should definitely visit.
Somnath Temple
Shri Somnath Temple is divided into three main parts, which include the sanctum sanctorum, the assembly hall and the dance hall. The height of the temple is 150 feet and a 10 ton Kalash is installed on it. The sanctum sanctorum is made of gold, it has a Shivalinga. The temple was repeatedly attacked by invaders but its reconstruction continued. This temple is still standing even after 17 invasions of Mohammad Ghaznavi. On one side of the temple there is a huge sea and on the other side there is a small market.
Nageshwar Temple
It is special for the elders of Gujarat because here two Jyotirlingas are seen at the same time. In the courtyard of Nageshwar temple, there is a huge statue of Lord Shiva sitting in Padmasana posture, which is 125 feet high and 25 feet wide. There is Nageshwar Jyotirlinga in the basement of the temple. This body is also called Nageshwar Mahadev. The special thing about this place is that Shiva mantras are chanted all around, due to which the atmosphere here smells of spirituality. Its purity removes all worry and fear from the mind.
Dwaraka Temple
Dwarka is one of the oldest cities of India. The structure of this temple is very organized. It is believed that Dwarkadhish himself resides in the Dwarka temple. Lord Shri Krishna spent his childhood and youth in Vrindavan and Mathura and the rest of his life in Dwarka. This is the reason why people consider themselves blessed just by touching the soil of Dwarka. The energy here relaxes the human body as well as the mind.
Gujarat sunset
The sunset of Gujarat is very beautiful. You can see the sunset from these three temples. The reason behind this is that Gujarat is a western state. After visiting the temples here the whole day, the devotees will feel happy if they sit in the courtyard of the temples in the evening and watch the sunset. The sunset is an incredible experience especially from the beach behind Dwarka. So whenever you come here, do not forget to see this view.
